The Institute of Cultural Affairs Uganda is a private, non-governmental, non-profit organization registered in 1998. ICA Uganda is committed to poverty alleviation and raising the living standard of the peoples of Uganda through the promotion of sustainable development, education, and organizational transformation.
Since its formation in 2007 in Budaka Safe Neighborhood Communities Foundation or “Omulirano Omusa” as it is popularly known has traversed several communities in Uganda beginning in Mpigi later Wakiso Districts in Central Uganda, in Pallisa District and Budaka. It is in this spirit that SNF was formed starting from a meeting under a tree in a home and thereafter with neighbors and friends who were experiencing similar situations. SNF initially started with voluntary activities before some funds were obtained from friends and small contributions from community members.
