Prof. Tatwa P. Timsina, PhD

Dr. Tatwa P. Timsina is the Professor of Tribhuvan University and the Founding Chairperson of the IIQA and ICA Nepal. He is an internationally renowned trainer/facilitator and has contributed to a number of organizations including the Government of Nepal, UNDP, USAID, ADB etc. He holds expertise in project development and fundraising. Prof. Dr. Timsina has developed around 100 community development projects and found financial resources through individual and organizational donors from all over the world. In early 2000, Prof. Dr. Timsina coordinated innovation support fund which trained and financially supported around 200 youths. He has raised funding for launching micro credit to animal husbandry, starting dairy to sanitary napkin factory, establishing science/computer labs in the schools to running microenterprises in the communities, educating adult groups to conserving environment etc. He has also trained more than 2000 people on fundraising and project development Prof. Dr. Timsina has carried out project evaluation as the Team Leader for Save the Children Nepal, Oxfam, Nepal Trust etc. He facilitates training on various themes such as fundraising, project development, innovation, strategic planning etc. He has also served as the President of a Rotary Club and is a regular donor for the Rotary International. Prof. Dr. Timsina has written several books on fundraising training, environment and development issues. As a fundraiser for the community projects, Prof. Dr. Timsina has traveled more than 50 countries and as a project implementer to all the districts of Nepal.
