The nominations are now open for the Tyler Prize 2021, one of the first international premier awards for environmental science, environmental health, and energy. The Prize is awarded for achievements in environmental science, policy, energy, and health conferring a great benefit upon humanity. The prize is endowed by gifts from the John and Alice Tyler Charitable Trusts. The University of Southern California is the administrator of the Tyler Prize. The goal was to create an international award that would recognize those working to preserve and enhance their world, and inspire others to understand the importance of the environment. Recipients encompass the spectrum of environmental concerns, including environmental policy, health, air and water pollution, ecosystem disruption and loss of biodiversity, and energy resources.
