KOSHISH

"Working together for Suicide Prevention" is a three-year pilot project implemented by KOSHISH, as a partner of CBM in two municipalities of Lamjung and Kaski district of Gandaki Province of Nepal. The project commenced its implementation from Feb 2021 onward in collaboration with local government and other relevant stakeholders. The project aims to minimize the suicide risk factors through multi-sectorial collaboration at Local, Provincial and Federal Levels of government, contributing to the national commitment to reducing suicide mortality. The stakeholders include Government officials responsible for policy and strategies, media personnel, community-led suicide prevention committee, health workers, school teachers, suicide survivors, caregivers of the person with a suicidal attempt, people with suicidal ideation or thoughts, and community-based organizations, including organizations of persons with disabilities.

The project started with a baseline study and conducted a mid-term review in 2022. The end-line evaluation study will focus on measuring the outcome of this three years project and explore the scope of scaling up for another phase of the project in the same area.
